About Us
At Continental Divide Dog Training and Behavior, our mission is simple. We strive to provide the best quality of care and training for dogs. Quality over quantity, always. The safety and wellbeing of dogs in our care is the number one priority.
With that in mind, our boarding is small scale to minimize stress on dogs. Every dog is provided with individualized care. Our training methods can best be described as "LIMA", meaning "least intrusive, minimally aversive". We believe that the LIMA approach is effective, kind, and fosters better relationships between dogs and their humans. LIMA applies to people too! We are here to coach and guide our clients to success regardless of what end of the leash they're on.
Our Location
Continental Divide Dog Training and Behavior is situated on 30 acres just outside of Paonia, Colorado. Our fenced yards and fields provide the perfect environment for fun and training against the stunning backdrop of the West Elk mountain range.
We offer a wide service area to better help a notoriously under served portion of Colorado. Included in our service area is Paonia, Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, Aspen, Grand Junction, Montrose, Gunnison, Ridgway, Ouray, and Telluride.
